St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Delaware, Iowa will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of the congregation on Sunday, June 12, 2005. The celebration will be centered around the theme, "Jesus ChristOur Foundation". We will be holding a special service at 10:00 a.m. on that day.
You are invited to come and celebrate with us. We are planning a dinner in the fellowship hall following the service and invite you to share in that meal with all of the other friends and members, past and present, of the congregation.
Guest participants in the Divine Service will include: Rev. Donald Hoeferkamp of St. Louis, MO; Rev. Roger Lange of Dalton, MN; Rev. George Steinkamp of Battle Lake, MN; and Rev. David Weber, pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Manchester, IA.
A special Thank Offering fund has been established for the anniversary. There are two projects in the fund:
- The Iowa District East chaplaincy Endowment Fund for support of the LCMS Chaplain at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic
- St. Paul's Building Fund
Praising God for all of the blessings He has bestowed on our congregation in the past 125 years, we continue with "Jesus ChristOur Foundation".
Note: In connection with our anniversary celebration, we are offering a cookbook and a DVD set to commemorate the occasion.
NOW AVAILABLE: The service and celebration program are now available on VHS for $10+shipping. Order a copy of the service & program on VHS:
