Tertius VBS Curriculum FAQ
Note: These questions do not apply to the Confirmation Resources, which may be freely distributed.
- We'd like to use some songs from your VBS, but we don't need the entire curriculum.
- Can we give our CDs to another congregation after we're finished with them?
- Can we use VBS songs for Sunday School?
- Can we distribute the music CDs beyond the scope of VBS?
Usage Rights
Unlimited permission is given to each congregation to use all materials within the congregation's specific context. Each congregation that purchases a curriculum may use that curriculum or parts of it as often as they like.
You may:
- Use VBS music and portions of the curriculum in your Sunday School or other settings.
- Distribute copies of the music CD to every house in your community as an outreach tool.
- Use the artwork for other congregational needs, including on your website
You may not:
- Post the music files on your congregation's website except the Demo Medley.
- Give the curriculum to another congregation to use after you're finished with it (unless that congregation pays the licensing fee to Tertius Publishing)
- Give the artwork to other congregations or entities to use for their purposes
"Parting out" Curricula
If you want to use a portion of our curriculum instead of the whole thing, we ask that you pay the entire license fee. Our license fees are smaller than an equivalent number of songs being used by a choir, and the license allows you to make an unlimited number of copies for your choir's use. For very limited use (one song and a very small choir, etc.), please contact us.
We also provide discussion forums to share stories, discuss and answer questions about our materials.
