Adam and Eve appear in a profuse garden (representation of the Garden of Eden before the fall).
What’s Taking Place:
Adam and Eve inhabit the Garden of Eden which God has just finished creating. At this time there is no sin in the world. Everything is good as it came from its Creator’s benevolent will and hand.
The symbol of the snake encircling the world is the symbol of the effect of sin upon creation. Without the effects of sin the world would be as good and perfect as it was first made.
